A mentor who has run the businesses, not a coach on the sideline.
Business mentoring is having an experienced operator in your corner, month to month, someone who has built, scaled and sold businesses and can tell you what they’d do, not just ask you what you think. For established owners who want judgement and direction from someone who has actually done it.

Business mentoring is having an experienced operator in your corner, month to month, someone who has built, scaled and sold businesses and can tell you what they’d do, not just ask you what you think. For established owners who want judgement and direction from someone who has actually done it.
Who this is for
You built the business by being the best at what you do. Growth now asks the opposite of you, to step back from the work and lead the people who do it. That shift, from the technician who built the business to the leader who runs it, is the hardest one an owner makes, and almost nobody makes it alone. You don't need another course, and you don't need a cheerleader. You need someone who's made the shift themselves, to think the hard calls through with, and to tell you straight.
Why the big calls shouldn't be made alone.
At the top of a business the hardest part isn’t the work, it’s that the biggest decisions land on you, alone, and the people around you are either too close to be objective or on your payroll. Should you take that client, make that hire, put your prices up, change direction. Get those calls right and the business moves. Get them wrong and they cost you for years. Most owners don’t need more information. They need someone who has made those calls before to think them through with, and to tell them the truth.
The difference between a mentor and a coach
A coach asks questions to help you find your own answers, and plenty of them have never run a business. We work differently. We mentor, advise and find solutions. We’ve done it, so we bring judgement and direction from having been in your chair, and because we’re solution-orientated, we help you fix what’s actually in front of you rather than just talk it through. We don’t coach from the sideline.
What ongoing mentoring looks like
We work through the whole business, then narrow it to what matters. Four things, in order.
A regular session, monthly or fortnightly, on the one or two things that matter most right now.
A steady sounding board for the big calls in between, so you're not deciding alone.
Direction and priorities, not just more questions.
Quiet accountability, so the plan actually gets run.
Solutions, not just reflection. We work the problem with you and leave you with a next step.
What we work on together
Whatever’s the biggest thing in front of you. Setting the direction and the priorities. The people calls, hiring, structure, and getting the right work off your plate. Pricing, and where the growth is going to come from. And the personal shift every owner has to make, from doing the work to leading the business. It’s your agenda, with an experienced operator helping you work it.
How it works
A simple monthly arrangement, a set amount of time each month for a clear fixed fee agreed up front. Scale it up when a big decision is coming, down when things are steady. Most owners pair mentoring with a piece of strategy or growth work, so the direction and the day-to-day stay joined up.
Who you work with
Victoria Lewis, 35 years running and scaling businesses, with brands built from nothing and several taken through to a sale. You’re mentored by someone who has sat in your chair and made the same calls, not someone who has studied it from the outside.
Is this business coaching?
No. A coach helps you find your own answers. We mentor, advise and find solutions, we’re solution-orientated, and we bring direction from having done it ourselves.
What do we actually work on?
Whatever matters most right now, the direction, the people, the pricing, the big decisions, and the shift from working in the business to leading it.
Do you have to commit long-term?
No, it’s a simple monthly arrangement, scale it or pause it as you need.
How often do we meet?
Monthly or fortnightly, scaled to you.
Book a strategy call
Book a strategy call. I’ll tell you where the business is stuck, and just as honestly, whether we’re the right people to help.
